The beautiful Antiparos Island or as called in the ancient times Oliaros is a short distance at the southwest of Paros Island.
Antiparos Strait / Amfigeio separates the two islands and there is seasonal heavy sea traffic in this strait in addition to windsurfing activities.
The island is smaller than the beautiful Paros Island. It is extension and important territorial part of it although the island enjoys somewhat a kind of independency.
It occupies 23 square kilometres west of Paros and there are 1,037 inhabitants in the island. It takes 30 minutes sailing to it from Paros Port and it takes 22 minutes from Pounta.
The Amfigeio is busy by sea traffic and windsurfing on some parts of it out of the port area. The Town of Antiparos is the main port where there are white buildings between the port and the heights on the back of the town.
It has some touristy sights on the waterfront and the pedestrian-streets and it spreads in some squares and alleyways and opens back onto fields.
Excursion boats connect Antiparos with its main island, Paros. A car ferry sails every half an hour, beginning at the morning until 12 am, between the port of Antiparos and the port of Pounta on the western coast of Paros.
The Venetian Castle was built in the 15th century and it has remains in the beautiful Antiparos Island. The Cave in Paros is known since the 7th century BC.

The main street is the Market Street, where the National Bank of Greece, Emporiki Bank of Greece, the post office and some travel agencies, as Antiparos Travel Agency and the Blue Island Divers provide their services to the public and the guests, as well.
Antiparos Travel Agency is on the waterfront and it provides all the information and the services needed to get accommodations, getting around and experiencing the Greek life in the island.
The diving club, Blue Island Divers is about 16.1 kilometres from Antiparos Village and it takes 31 minutes drive. It offers many diving services such as advanced diving, open watercourses and of course rescue courses, snorkelling, accommodation services and trips.
