The Village of Kourkoumelata about 3.4 kilometres west of Keramies, the seat of Livathou Municipality is a beautiful village in Kefalonia Island that the local authorities rebuilt to look like a Swiss town.

It takes about 6 minutes from the seat of Livathos Municipality. There are some pastel coloured buildings and a public garden.

The shipping company of George Vergotis had donated fund for the reconstruction of the town after the earthquake. Kourkoumelata is about 9.6 kilometres southeast of Argostoli and it takes about 14 minutes drive.

The Village of Metaxata about 2 kilometres west of Keramies, the seat of Livathou Municipality is another beautiful village in Kefalonia Island. It takes about 4 minutes from the seat of Livathos Municipality.

It is about 9.3 kilometres southeast of Argostoli and it takes about 13 minutes drive. In 1824, the British poet and pioneer of romanticism, Lord Byron visited the town and stayed for a short time before he left to Missolonghi.

The Village of Lakithra about 4.5 kilometres west of Keramies, the seat of Livathou Municipality is another beautiful village in Kefalonia Island. It takes about 6 minutes from the seat of Livathos Municipality.

It is about 7 kilometres south of Argostoli and it takes about 9 minutes drive. It is a regional centre in the area and there are some large villas, wide streets and some squares.

It is said that Lakithra was home of Odysseus' palace. The archaeologists discovered during 1930s four Mycenaean tombs and ancient grain silos curved on a rock.

The Village of Pesada on the coast, about 3.6 kilometres southeast of Keramies, the seat of Livathou Municipality is another beautiful village in Kefalonia Island.

It takes about 6 minutes from the seat of Livathos Municipality. It is about 12.2 kilometres southeast of Argostoli and it takes about 19 minutes drive.

The Village of Lourdata and the Village of Vlchata very close to it at the northwest have merged and become one village.

Lourdata village or Vlchata village is about 17.2 kilometres southeast of Argostoli and it takes about 24 minutes drive. It is about 12.2 kilometres east of Keramies, the seat of Livathou Municipality and it takes about 17 minutes drive.
