Beautiful Towns and Villages on the Beautiful Rhodes Beaches:
Ialyssos with its ancient Byzantine and medieval remains including the Chapel of Agios Georgios, the Monastery of our Lady and the fortress the Magnificent Suleiman used to siege Rhodes Town.
Kamiros, the ancient city is on the hillside at the western coast with its oil, wine and figs. Some remains existed after the destruction of the earthquake in 226 and 142 BC on one column of the Doric Temple, one of the preserved Hellenistic houses, and the place of public speeches.
Petaloudes with its streams and pools that make it the valley of the butterflies leads to Moni Kalopetras, Alexander Ypsilandis built in the 18th century and the village of Psinthos.
Asklipieio, with its castle ruins and the church of Kimisis Theotokou stands in shapes on walls, from the 11th century with the Byzantine paintings.
Arhangelos, located at the foot of the hill is an agricultural village with its tradition of carpet weaving and art craft boots from goatskins. It reflects some of the ancient Greek culture.
Gennadi, with its sand dunes, beach of pebbles, white houses, narrow streets, agricultural and seaside scenes connects the small villages.

Lindos is a pleasant village with a beautiful beach. It is dressed in white colour and stands beautiful with its ancient Acropolis, Temple of Athena and its harbour and most of all with its Byzantine, Turkish and Frankish remains.
Lardos Village, described as the Greek paradise, with its beach, other nearby villages with their swimming spots, it leads through hilly but green countryside to Moni Agias Ypsenis.
Ixia lies at the north of the western coast and it has long wide stretched beach where people enjoy water sports. It is new developed resort to attract the waves of the tourists when arrive at the island.
Trianta or Trianda is small village on the western coast and is about 5 kilometres far from the ancient town of Ialyssos. It occupies the modern part of the historical Ialyssos and serve as attractive place for tourists with its sandy beach, car rental and boat rental services, shops, restaurants, hotels and bars.
Kremasti is at the northwest and is about 12 kilometres from the capital city of Rhodes. In addition to the accommodation facilities in the hotels, studios and villas in the area, some families own and rent their apartments to occasional visitors. Some centres on the west coast offer surfing courses in Kremasti bay.
Faliraki is in the northeast of the biscuit's ice cream shaped island of Rhodes, east of Kallithea and north of Afantou. You can enjoy water sport, new services like WiFi Internet, good hotels and lodgings services, swimming pools and parking services, sea excursions and watch satellite televisions. In addition, many clubs make busy nightlife in the area.
Afandou or Afantou lies at the west of the island about 5 kilometres from Faliraki and 19 kilometres from Rhodes City with its olive and fruit trees making the village green and beautiful. It is an old village surrounded by hills or hidden between the heights.
Kolymbia or Kolympia is very quite village. It lies with its eucalyptus on the roads across green land to the crowded beaches in the surroundings at the east of Rhodes Island and on the way between Rhodes Town and Lindos. Many hotels are in the area, in addition to auto-car rental services, and boat tours between the beaches and the near smaller islands.
Pefkos with its Pefki Island resort, near Lindos, is small beautiful village. It has developed recently in the last three decades to provide modern and good services and meet the requirements for modern tourism industry on Rhodes Island.
Kiotari with its sand and pebbles beach and available villas for sale lies in beautiful, sunny and quite area in the southeast of Rhodes Island and is about 5 kilometres south of Lardos. Some modern hotels, car rental services, villas with swimming pools for sale, apartments and studios are available for take.
Stegna is in the central eastern part of Rhodes Island, with its quite sandy beach, green land and Greek scent. It is one of the Beautiful resorts in the island and connect the north of the island to the south and the east to the west.
